Maple, a sweet female dog, is again stealing hearts after her parents revealed in a new video why they adopted a Golden Retriever. The furbaby’s owners listed relatable reasons and even shared a series of adorable clips to prove the points. The first-time dog parents noted in the Instagram Reel’s caption that Maple is the “perfect fit” for their family; however, unless one would ask Waffles, the cat.
The first reason noted in the video is that Goldens are “known for adapting well to homes with cats.” They further added, “Even when their cat is not known for adapting well to a dog sister.” Meanwhile, the clip showed Maple trying to entertain Waffles, who did not look very amused. The following clip even showed the cat hissing at the canine. Maple then turned towards her mama, seemingly complaining about what Waffles did to her.
The second reason the dog parents noted was that Golden Retrievers are “usually pretty cuddly.” In the video, Maple cozied up close with her dad, who continued giving her belly rubs. The parents also added that Goldens “prefer to be making contact with their humans at all times.” Lastly, the third reason was that this breed of dogs is “not usually the brightest.” The clip to prove this point showed sweet Maple looking around in confusion after Waffles jumped from the couch.
